Between me and the bike--I'm short and it's long and heavy, if I put both wheels into the gutter, the bike runs me down the steps too fast. On the way up, I'm having trouble holding onto the electronic assist and move the bike up the stairs--the gutter's on the left side heading up, and if I'm holding the assist, I can't use that hand to hold the back of the bike. (I think if the assist moved the front of the bike it'd be easier for me.) Also can't seem to comfortably fold myself over and around the handlebars at that angle.I'm wondering if a wider, flat plank, rather than the narrow, edged piece of wood we have might make it easier. Maybe some low "traffic bumps" to slow down the bike going down, and to sort of prop the front wheels going up. I could be over-thinking it. Probably the best thing would be to just grow a couple more inches!

My house, where I keep my heavy ebike, is up a hill from the street level. I'm short and have trouble getting my bike up and down the steps, which are higher than they appear and at a steep incline. I have to put the front wheel into the gutter and push (up) or resist gravity (down), and carry the back end of the bike. It's more precarious than I'd like, especially since I have knee issues and a shoulder I've both torn and dislocated in the past. Any suggestions for changing up what we've got or for something that will work better for me?
