Long Trails in the San Antonio / Austin area?

Hey all, I'm wondering if anyone has good suggestions for longer (4+ miles minimum) trails in the general San Antonio / Austin area. Anywhere within a couple hours is fine. Just looking to get some more interesting terrain into my runs, but I've only been in the area for a year and don't really know where to go. Some heavy terrain is fine, but ideally I'm looking for trails that are mostly runnable.

Thanks!

Howdy @jvolks!

First off, welcome to Texas!!  Luckily, you are in the perfect area for trail running!  You should definitely try the Madrone Trail at Canyon Lake.

I would also try Guadalupe State Park.  There are over 12 miles of trails with a variety of terrain and breathtaking scenery.

Most importantly, download the Trail Run Project App that will highlight trails specific to your location.

I hope to see you on the trails!
