@KathyC1 always an important question when looking for new shoes, so thank you for putting this up on Conversations!
Hokas generally run true to size, so sizing up to give your toes appropriate room is pretty common. However, every now and then there are redesigns that break the pattern. I have been a fan of the Clifton for a few years now, and after wearing through my 5 and 6, I recently fitted myself for the new 7. My sizing has varied in this order: 11EE, 10.5, 11. The redesign of the 6 was longer and more flexible in the toes, and really took me by surprise!
I’ve never ordered shoes online and prefer going to my local REI. The employees in the shoe dept are excellent!!!
My Salomons are 9’s, but I also use a Sole insert for high arches. I think I’ll order the Hoka 9 and see how it goes!
