Help Choosing compatible Cycling Shoes

I have some shimano pd a530 pedals on my bike and I would like to buy some cycling shoes but I don't know exactly how to pick the right pair.  I'm a little confused about the cleats and adapters I would need.

I use my bike primarily for commuting to work but sometimes fitness rides of around 20 miles.

Help Choosing compatible Cycling Shoes

@justintimmons Thanks for reaching out!

The pedals you have are compatible with cleats that are referred to as SPD cleats. We would recommend going with a cleat like the Shimano SH-56 Multi-directional Release SPD cleats. You can look at all of our SPD Compatible Bike Shoes here. For commuting and fitness you have a couple of good options:

The shoes with laces will feel more like 'regular' shoes and allow you some flexibility in how snug you want them. The X-Alp summit will allow you a snug, performance fit. Mountain bike shoes are often good for commuting as they recess the clips for easier walking if you need to get off your bike at any point.

Hopefully this helps, feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions!
