Down sleeping bags - advice on losing feathers

Just got a new Nemo Disco 15. My first Down bag. Is it normal for a bag of this quality to lose a few feathers?  Seems a bit excessive to me. There is no hole. Seems to be coming through the material

I have seen that with quality bags in the past.  Those feathers are not down.

Iam not sure about current production because I still use (just last night) the bag I purchased thirty-five years ago.

A certain small amount is normal, and the ones that do really aren't doing as much for insulation as the "real" down.  That said, my heart skips a beat with every one I lose!
